Course Description With the growing popularity of the Apple OS X and Macintosh computers, Go4Cast has put together a Switchers bootcamp course for new comers through intermediate mac users. This five day course starts with the Leopard 100 - Intro to Mac OS X which focuses on getting to know the foundations of Mac OS X, with topics ranging from efficient window and application management to system customization. You'll also learn how to configure user accounts and manage files. Days 2 & 3 provide the Introduction to iLife 09 course which introduces students to the features and interface of iLife ?09. iLife ?09 is a suite of digital authoring tools that comes with every Mac: iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iDVD, and iWeb. You will learn to create media-rich digital projects, and share them online with a few clicks. You will also learn to easily create stunning music, websites, and photo books, and enjoy your photos and videos in exciting new ways. Days 4 & 5 focus on the Introduction to iWork course where students will learn how to work with writing and graphics tools to create beautiful documents. You will find out how to effortlessly create stunning presentations, complete with Apple-designed themes, cinema-quality animations, and voiceover narration. You will create compelling spreadsheets for everything from family budgets and event planning to invoices and complex financial reports. And all three applications give you import and export compatibility with Microsoft Office applications. Users who would like to take the Certified Apple Associate exams for iLife and iWork at the end of the course will be provided with FREE vouchers and administered the test at our facility on Friday afternoon.
